What it’s all About

My artwork is an on going journey of self discovery, which has involved looking at identity and what identity is all about. During this process I have found faith and understanding. Which is incorporated into my work as it is a large and growing part of my life.

When the initial ideas arise they tend to be general. I create sketches and investigate all angles of the theme, using biblical referencing, I take specific words from the Holy Bible and transfer them to my work precisely as they are written in order to avoid losing any of their true meaning and potency.

The end result of my work is often as much of a surprise to me as it could be to the observer,  The process is the most important bit, Like when making a cake, one could simply substitute a previously unthought-of ingredient which could then make all the difference to the end result.
